How it works
How to print PDF N-up
Fit 2, 4, 6, or 9 source pages on each output sheet — free, no signup. Default sheet size matches the first page (so Letter stays Letter); or pick portrait A4 / US Letter.
Each source page is scaled into a grid. The schematic preview shows first-sheet cell order only — not a true page render. Output sheet count is source pages ÷ N, rounded up.
Print layouts and scenarios are covered in How to create a PDF N-up layout.
- Open PDF N-up and add your file.
- Choose 2-up, 4-up, 6-up, or 9-up.
- Pick Output sheet size (same as first page, A4, or Letter).
- Review the estimated sheet count and schematic grid.
-
Click Build N-up PDF and download
{filename}-nup.pdf.
Why browser processing & tips
Why process PDFs in your browser?
Most PDF sites upload your file to a remote server first. That adds wait time, queueing, and means your document passes through infrastructure you do not control. LokaPDF builds N-up layouts entirely in your browser — file content is not uploaded to our servers. Draft prints use less paper without sending slides to a cloud converter. The tool works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, and Android with no install.
Slide handouts, draft document review, thumbnail overviews, and classroom packets.
Tips
- 2-up keeps text readable for most documents; 9-up suits thumbnails.
- Keep “Same as first page” for Letter PDFs unless you need A4 printer stock.
- Compress after N-up if the layout file is still large.
- Rotate sideways scans before N-up if pages appear landscape.
